Postdoc Position for Electrical and Optical Analysis of Nanopores for Peptide Identification Using Single-Molecule Tools (m/f/d)
The responsibilities of the successful applicants will include:
- optimization of the combined electrophysiology/microscopy setup
- wet lab work for reconstitution of membrane proteins in lipid bilayers
- molecular biology and biochemistry to generate chimeric and mutant proteins
- experiments and data analysis
- comprehensive presentation of results in group meetings and at conferences
- preparation of manuscripts
What we are looking for:
- talented and highly motivated candidates with a PhD in physics, chemistry, biophysics or equivalent skills
- strong interest in microscopy and electrophysiology
- experience in work with lipid bilayers and reconstitution of membrane proteins
- background in biophysics, molecular biology, and biochemistry
- ability to work independently and in a team
